Pinpoint 3.0 beta for mac os 10.5.6

Hi i have installed, pinpoin 3.0 beta. But its is not working. wen i read the pdf file which is come along with the package, it explained to install quarts composer.
Is this is required for running pinpoint, please let us know how to install this.
