pioneer dvd dvd-rw dvr-112 slooooowwwww

    I am burning my p90x's to make back ups and take with my to my local gym, they don't have them yet,

    my DVD writer is writing at a max of 5!!! 5 speed come on man!!

    i am writing to an HP dvd+r


    is there a way to make it faster, or better yet:

    what mac friendly one can i purchase (ide) for a decent price and just slap it in and go?

    thanks, Really need to replace this piece of sloowww poo!

    You can just slap any DVD burner in your Mac and will work.

    But a flash usually works to remove any limitations set by the manufacture, ie Riplock.

    Thanks! I haVE already flashed it, to 1.24, never could flash it to 1.28

    did not really offer and benefits in the way of burning dvd's.

    went to new egg and bought the samsung!! heard it was quick!!
