Hi,

I was wondering...

If I have a macbook pro and I take it to get fixed in the apple store for whatever reason, can they take a look in my hard drive and see if I have any pirated software there? For example, if I have Microsoft office and the latest adobe software downloaded from torrents, can they track it there and report me? Also, are there other ways they can track it (also microsoft or adobe) more on a macbook then on a pc laptop?

Basically, I want to know if there is any difference in this sense between apple and PCs. I know its illegal, but how can they enforce it? If they can, whats the penalties?

Mumin.
