For those debating between the two:

"The biggest difference between AirCase and MagEZ Case is: without/with built-in metal plates inside which results: cannot/can attach to MagEZSeries magnetic products.

The MagEZ Case is made from 1500D aramid fiber that is five times stronger than steel. The thickness is 0.85mm. And according to our experiences, it protects your phone from most of the daily falling.
Besides, we put special design metal plates inside of MagEZ Case to avoid the position of the wireless charging area so that it can work with our built-in magnets MagEZ series wireless charger.

The Air Case is made from the finest selected 600D filament with a limited supply(Made with Selected Aramid Fiber) which weighing around 10g only(the same weight as a wine cork) It is thin as paper with only 0.60mm thickness, and your phone will look as it always has but will be wrapped in the ultimate protective case.

Due to it without metal plates inside that isn't magnetic, it will be lighter and softer than MagEZ Case Although it can't bring you a magnetic experience like MagEZ Case with our MagEZ series chargers, it is born to be suitable for your different choices such as Air series chargers.

Hope this helps."

*The magnets don't align with Apples Magsafe so the connection with MagEZ won't be as strong as MagSafe

Mini vs Max weight
Air: 7g vs 10.4g
MagEZ: 12.6g vs 17.1g

Correct, it's exactly like that. Though I did specifically order the Pro case. Honestly disappointed, considering reviews of their cases have generally been pretty good.
Wanted to follow up with you. I was working with Pitaka on the issue I had with my original case. Customer Service from China was actually really good and responsive. Anyways, I received my new one tonight and fits perfect, no issues at all. Great cases, keeps the original feel of the device.

Interesting. They told me it was compatible but left that slight detail out. I might return the ezCase and go with the Apple leather case.

I have just received the air case for iphone 12 mini, it is so light and feels solid! Very eager to put a phone in it 😉

Does wireless charging just not work with the air, or does it work but slower? It's so thin, I'd think current could go through. Did you test that @Matt-PITAKA ?

I hope for you it fits. Currently in the process of returning mine (12Pro) :(

Damn!

I just got my iPhone 12 Mini last night and I ordered and received the MagEZ (aramid) case for it. I fist put on the DBrand Icons decal first, to protect the blue finish, and BOY oh BOY was I glad I did!

I’ve seen a few older iPhone 7/8’s from users of the 2-piece battery cases of Mogo or whatever that company is that leaves damage. Hence why I applied my DBrand decal - which is very thin But nice looking.

I tried all kinds of ways - very gently first to size up the fit ... didn’t need to use the sticky tiny foam Pitaka includes, the fit was TOO TOO tight! Damaged my DBrand skin - thankfully not my phone and actually the case is messed up too. It’s tough, yet unfortunately tough to get the entire phone inside of it.

Curious if they’d exchange my current one considering its now almost 3mths, yet I’m not even going to entertain or consider it. I may purchase another yet first contacting them to share my issues prior.

Beautiful case ... in fact it’s PERFECT in what I was looking for and wanting. I’m VERY curious and hoping they can certify their charging wall mat that’s coming up - i think it’s an amazing idea.

You’re likely going to have to decide between the skin and the phone. Seems their slim cases are designed to fit like a skin.

UPDATE!

wow, just WOW! impeccable customer service at Pitaka! I figured I’d reach out and openly and honestly tell them the experience I had which clearly was my fault not knowing the case was a “skin tight“ fit for the iPhone 12 models and their customer service team gave me a 1 time chance to get a new one as a replacement. I cover the shipping fees.
absolutely stellar customer service! I will be looking at their wall charging magnetic mat when it debuts n recommend their cases and service. I usually only expect Apple to have this level of service.

count me happy n impressed!
