Have you tried the case yet ? I think with everyone saying the same thing that it won’t scratch you should be fine .. also a case like this usually stays on for the long term , it’s very tight fitting which I love about it .and I also notice fingers prints are not that bad this year and easily wipe off when needed.

If metal is on metal it will and for that matter if both surfaces are hard the answer is they will scratch.

Don’t be nasty.

I’m just inquiring.

it's not metal.

and i'm not being nasty, this thread is just ridiculous. you bought an expensive case without apparently knowing a thing about it and for some reason think the "metal" (that it isn't) would scratch your phone, despite:

- several users telling you that it won't scratch your phone
- it's not metal

yet you seem impervious to reading these posts.

it's not metal.

Pitaka did scratch my stainless steel frame a tiny bit where I would take it off. But I don't really care lol

OP you've asked for the opinions of others, two people with Pitaka cases made from the same material as your one have both said it doesn't scratch it. If you don't value their replies then what was the point in asking?

Also echo what someone else said - you've spent $50-$60+ on a case, did you not do any research beforehand?

Pitaka have been around for years - if their cases were routinely scratching phones then we'd know about it, they'd either be out of business or would have remedied it by now.

It feels to me that OP is really closed mind (said very gently 😄). Multiple people says here, that it's ok and it's Aramid Fiber and he still writing the same. It seems that he ordered case and know absolutely nothing about it.
Just return it and you well be satisfied.

I think the bigger issue is how horrendously hard the buttons are to press on the magez pro 3 👎🏼👎🏼

I have a Pitaka case, like 5 months. This case can scratch your iPhone easily.
See pictures.

Maybe it was not fitted well. I do not know, but it happened.
Only a guess but to me that looks like tiny bits of grit got between the case and phone. Then moved about a bit as the phone and case were handled causing scratches.

It’s a problem I’ve had with ceases that don’t have microfibre or similar. Microfibre helps prevent grit getting in. And if it does the microfibre helps keep it from moving and causing scratches.

Was going to say, I've been using a Pitaka Air for a long time now and I've taken it on/off quite a few times. The case is so firm fitting - there is absolutely no movement whatsoever. I too do not see how the case could scratch the phone, even if I tried hard. I guess if I threw dirt/beach sand at it while I was taking it on/off maybe. <shrug> :p

With Pitaka case it's good thing once per month put case down, do little cleaning nad put it on. There are a lot of dust and **** that can scratch phone. But with cleaning once per month it will be good.
