I heard recently tht apple is offering a consumer grade version of its animation software they use at pixar. has anyone heard of this, and if so do they have a link or some sort? i am not an animation guy, but i cannot find anything about it, and i could have sworn tht i saw it somewhere, it may have even been just a news link talking about "they heard it was coming out" i don't know, but help would be nice

The animation software you're perhaps thinking of is RenderMan. It's actually sotware made and sold by Pixar themselves. Apple and Pixar are not related other than having the same CEO.

I never heard anything about a version for the masses though.

My brother's father-in-law has been a programmer for over thirty years. He has always used Apple computers and clones. He made the comment the other day that he was using Pixar in his programming twenty years ago.

kinda off topic but interesting...
