I wasn't trying to argue - even at the point when Jobs was "demoted to a diminished role", he wasn't CEO at the time, John Sculley was.

Hey, I'm eager to learn, and eager to please. I had looked it up for the record, after your first reply, and even though I didn't spell it out in those words, you are correct Steve wasn't CEO at that time, and I could have added "from Vice President and General Manager of the Mac department" after "demoted to a diminished role" in my first reply to you. My mistake.

Some quotes from the links below: "By early September, Jobs had had enough of his diminished role and decided to leave Apple altogether with the intention of forming a new venture".

"when Sculley demanded that Apple’s board of directors remove Jobs from his position as Apple Vice President and General Manager of the Mac department"

"but he was demoted from the role of leading the Macintosh division"

I felt bad for the ex-Pixar employees when I witnessed part of Cars 2. They had said something about Disney being a "child molester" of characters.

At first Jobs was more interesseted about the "pixar workstation" than to be a movie producer. Pixar use some internal "SGI-like" computer and that's how Lasseter interested him about it. George Lucas divorce did a lot for lowering the price of this ex-Lucasfilm division :D

Pixar used to be renowned for the quality of its movies. Since Disney bought it, and all of the original Pixar stuff got out of the pipeline, they've just been milking Pixar IP for sequels and will probably run it into the ground eventually.

But, the sequel everybody wants, The Incredibles 2, actually just got greenlit, and Brad Bird is attached to write and (likely) direct.
