The 6 Pro passed the test my 13 Pro and 13 Pro max failed last time. We returned to the same auditorium for another event and had no issues getting focused pictures and video this time. With the iphone 13 Pro/Pro Max, the focusing system was confused by too many near subjects sitting in the audience and didn't want to focus on people on the stage. It kept shifting focus. The Pixel 6 Pro was not so twitchy like that.
The 6 Pro also passed as a very good telephone. Unfortunately my iphone XR did not. I had to hang up when my dad called me on the Xr and call him back on the Pixel. He was very pleased to converse on the Pixel. Unfortunately 5g wants to eat my battery up. AT&T is awful here.
I am still basically seeing only through one eye. It is not just infection it's an autoimmune flareup of joints and skin which is more complicated to deal with, so I'm not up to participating much right now. I have a hard time keeping up with my chores and errands.
But I did want to say I don't have the migraine issues with this display I had with my 13 Pro. I'm so happy to have this phone as a team with my Iphone XR.
It unfortunately is kind of moot for me to try to contribute to comparisons with the 13 Pro, because using that phone is out of the question. So I am thrilled I don't lose out of having such a capable advanced option such as this phone. Lol so I don't mind going back a few years on iOS.
I do wish I could use Apple Pay on this phone, though. I use Sign in With Apple and Apple Pay on services like Etsy and Ebay.
As far as comparisons to the S21 Ultra go, well I do love that phone, but I like my 6 Pro more. I can count on the camera more. And for me, and of course this is very individual, the fingerprint scanner works much better on the Pixel. I can again transact business on an Android phone. I know others have the opposite experience.
It's still in the Poetic case with built in screen cover. The LK covers arrived today. If I can see well enough, I'll apply one and go back to Spigen and Moment. The Poetic case Is ok. But it's very wide. It makes the phone feel like a tablet. It's terrible to have on when taking a phone call. The one thing I DO love is that there's no edges on the built in screen protector so there's no dust accumulated at the edges of the display. That's one thing I hate about screen protectors that stop short of the edges of displays.
Auto brightness is still a bit twitchy, but the machine learning must be doing its thing because it works better and is tolerable and steadily improving.
I'm still rocking the psychedelic wallpaper
