I have an iPod touch 4g and recently one of the pixels died. You can't see it unless the background is black but i'm just afraid that more pixels will die around it. Will this happen? Is there a reason this pixel died that will cause other pixels around it to die? And if I exchange it with apple will I get a refurbished one? I know they just came out but is there a chance?

Apple warranty will replace for dead pixels so if you're in the all clear, I'd go that route. I couldn't tell you if it WILL directly cause others around it to die but from my experience, after a month or two, that 1 dead pixel turns into a stuck blob or a stuck section.

It's sending chills down my back even as I speak. :(
