Is anyone else getting a low-res, pixelated /choppy text background for file/folder names in Fan View?

It caught my eye and looks terrible. Was not expecting this, especially from Apple. I cannot unsee it anymore. :|

I'm runnng Yosemite on the non-retina 2011 MacBook Pro at 1440 x 900 resolution. Not sure how it looks on Retina models.

I don't know why is everyone ignoring this. It is awful :(
It is ever worse with Dark Mode - ON.

I've got the same issue here.

Edges of each item are all bitmapped.

    Oh GOD??

Why would they use bitmaps in these days and age? What ever happened to using vector graphics in a OS?

I have been fairly okay with everything apple is doing but to step back and use a bitmap I am just blown away.

In many different places I have seen black corners on areas that should be transparent.

    Now I know :(

    They were never used?

Anyway this appears to only happen over the wall paper. When fanning out over a window, all is fine.
