Has anyone seen this before? I have a new Macbook Pro Retina (Mid 2015). Only 6 months old. I am super careful with it. I barely have anything installed on it (Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, Steam with about three games -- that's about it) but I'm getting the following glitches very frequently:

It seems to happen when I watch an online video in YouTube or something. I use Chrome as my browser.

What's especially interesting is that I took a screenshot while the glitches were happening... and they appeared in the .png -- which seems to show it's a software issue, not hardware. This really surprised me.

Apple support have not been very helpful so far. I've had two online chats. The first one told me to reset the SMC and PRAM -- which I did, to not avail. I've sent the above videos to them and now they've asked me to keep monitoring it in different browsers to see if I can identify what's causing it for them. Not very helpful! There's clearly a major fault and it's still under warranty.

Has anyone seen this before?

I think it's when it switches to the more powerful GPU. Nothing to do with watching videos. Edit: Or maybe not. Sigh.

Ugh. Still it continues. It's hard to find time to take it to the Apple store when I need the laptop for work! :(

More vids. This time for the Apple Engineers who are currently looking at my MacBook Pro (I've given them a link to this thread)...

Well Apple finally fixed it. I had to take it in, but during the tests the glitch kicked in (thank goodness) and it was clear there was an issue. They replaced the motherboard and, after I'd wiped all the gunk off that Apple repair seemed to have covered my machine in (weird grime), so far everything is good, yay!
