Now I check, and its saying 7-10 days. Unreal.. so I decided to chat with an Apple rep online (I knew this was going to be useless before I even started the conversation), and here's the response I got back:

What an actual joke.

That makes me think it said 1-3 days, but by time you finished checking out it slipped to 7-10 days.

The same thing happened to me. I went on apples App Store using express checkout. And got email saying 7-10 days. Wtf

OMFG!!!! First world problems!!! The OP's world is going to end now that he has to wait a WHOLE 10 days. I can't think of something any worse!

It's a hard knock life for the iPhone buyer. Fortunately, I took 30 seconds to use my brain and calculate the difference between "estimated SHIPMENT date" and "estimated DELIVERY date." If you just can't handle the wait, you might enjoy another brand of phone. It's not like having to wait a week or two for an iPhone after release date is breaking news at this point.

I know in the grand scheme of things this isn't a big deal, but I leave on a trip overseas on October 10th, so if I don't get it by then, I'll have to wait like 3 weeks additionally to get it.

It's just annoying, especially when you're spending hundreds of dollars.

So? And it's gonna kill you to receive it when you get back? I can't over how spoiled people are, having TO HAVE a phone by this date or else.

So you're spending a few hundred on a phone and you think that somehow should make more stock magically appear?
I get that you're annoyed but the website isn't unclear. Ships in 1-3 days is not arrives in 1-3 days. If you're about to leave on a trip then your best bet is to either order later or just relax and wait until you get back from your trip. A few days isn't going to make a difference.

I've spent way more money on crap that I didn't get right away and never once thought that my hard earned coin should have somehow prevented my wait time.

I got in super early on the Store app and got my confirmation e-mail by 3:02 with shipment 1-3 days on a 32GB Gold.

That said, if it had slipped, well, then it slips. I'm on a 5 now (my wife will get the 5 when the 5S comes in...her 4S gets sold to pay for most of the cost of the 5S upgrade)...so there'll be improvements and such, but nothing I can't wait a week or two or three for.

If you truly needed the phone today, you should have camped out and gotten a gray one. I knew when I chose to simply get up and order that my phone would be here any time between next week and next month some time...anything short of mid-October was gravy.

No, but I expect them to honor the timeframe that was quoted to me when I purchased it. I understand the difference between ships in 1-3 days and arrives in 1-3 days. Not sure why you said that, as I never questioned that.

I question being told 1-3 days at checkout, then being told 7-10 days later.

No, you were told ships in 1-3 days. You were not told it would arrive in 1-3 days. Think about that for a second. You really think you're going to get your iPhone in 1-3 days after ordering it? 1 day? Again, think.

Your money doesn't change the wait time. I'm sure you're uber annoyed, but it is what it is.

You understand that I'm complaining because I was told 1-3 days to ship, and now I'm being told 7-10 days to ship, right? I don't think you're understanding my complaint.

What an actual joke.

The joke is that you run Windows ;)

But that does suck. Hopefully all early orders ship soon, regardless of color.

What did the confirmation email say? If that said 1-3 days and now it's 7-10 days I would be a bit put out, but if the email said 7-10 then it's just unlucky timing. They can't realistically honour any delivery date mentioned prior to the order hitting their system.

No, not at all. But I'm the one who is truly LMFAO at all the crybabies and whiners on these forums who think their entitled to everything.

Well, tbh, I am entitled to something when I spend my money on it. In fact, I think that is the perfect time to use the word entitled.

When I physically hit the checkout button, it said 1-3 days. I hit checkout at like 3:03 AM ET.

The email came shortly thereafter and said 7-10 days.
