I have this bizarre file in my applications folder: placeholder.txt

If I open it I read the following message:

"Placeholder to make sure directory gets created during a synch"

And if I delete it, it gets recreated. Does anyone know what this thing is?

    Thanks!

A quick Google suggest it might be something to do with Blackberries? Do you have one?

I've found those pages as well. No, I don't have a Blackberry. Never had one.

I have the same thing––I think it is from Adobe Digital Editions, because I checked in Time Machine and it appeared the same day I downloaded DE. Plus it has the same creation date: 15 Jan 2010.

I too believe it is from Adobe Digital Editions. I installed it, hated it and uninstalled it the same day. It apparently didn't remove this file.
