Places option not showing up in Albums

Hi,

I have a question, the "Places" tab is not showing up as an tab/option when I launch the Album app. How do I enable this? This is an Iphone 3GS on OS 4.0, do I have to use the default Camera app to get these features?

Photos will only display in places that have been geotagged via GPS
