Being able to make calls from the desktop was a big selling point for me. And it seems to work as advertised. I like to make notes during a conversation or sort through my e-mail while on hold. However, that is not possible.
After a few minutes, the computer becomes unbearably sluggish. Type anything, and it takes a few seconds to show up. When it does, each keystroke gets repeated several times. Delete one e-mail, and several others get deleted along with it.
My system is a Studio M4 Max with 48 GB of memory. There is a post on Reddit from 4 months ago, showing a severe memory leak (174 GB!) in Phone. But that was on Tahoe 26.0.1. I’m running 26.2. Has anyone else noticed this?
