I have an iPhone 3G with iOS 4 on it. Is there ANY way to get just a plain white background? I made one, and when I tried to set it to the wallpaper, it ends up showing a grey to white gradient...

I am jailbroken and have Winterboard installed as well.

You can't have plain white because the icons have glowing grey around them to avoid the white text under icons disappearing.

Ok then... is there any way to grab a clean copy of the iTunes icon??? I was going to just take a screen shot of it on a plain white background - but obviously that won't work...
