I don't have a dog in this fight because I am picking up a silver 6S Plus, but I was thinking about the scenario in case people don't like the pink/rose gold color, particularly in the world wide short supply Plus . When you either bring it back to the store or online, you have 14 days to decide. You will then be faced with at least a 2 week delay or more before you can get a different phone. Maybe you should hang onto your original phone until you are sure of the color, or maybe even order a different Plus color now and bring that one back if you decide you are going to keep the rose gold.

There are hundreds of online stores where you can order a 6S. So there is no need to buy at the Apple Online Store and wait weeks for the new phone.

I would assume they'd just exchange the phone, Apple does offer a 14 day return policy. If you have to wait a couple of weeks, that's really not a long time in the scheme of things.

The other alternative is just put a case on it.

I plan to just throw a case on mine if I don't like it. I'm a girl and I like pink, so I am sure I will like it...lol.

Most people will use a case anyways so I don't see why people care what color the back is. I still see them as black or white phones.
