Plastic MacBook now MORE expensive (UK)!

Ok i'm starting to get very angry now.

The 2.1Ghz was yesterday £699 inc VAT

Today, after Apple announced a $100 price drop, it's now £719 inc VAT

ARE THEY TAKING THE F***ING P*** OR WHAT?

I think this has been discussed already. The base model has a Super Drive in it, rather than the Combo drive. To my knowledge at least.

Apologies, I only saw one about Australian pricing and another had been buried.

It's a serious enough problem to warrant many more threads though.

I had the money waiting. If it wasn't for the lack of FireWire and ridiculous UK pricing I'd have ordered one already.

I'm now considering a hackintosh if you have any suggestions please let me know.
