    Hey all,

I'm finally making the switch next week. I got tired of resisting the urge to toss my Dell laptop like a frisbee, and have bought an iMac. While I was at it, I also bought a first gen ipod Touch, since they were on ridiculous sale online tuesday after the announcements.

In any case, the iPod Touch is arriving first. If I set it up on my Dell, will I have to reformat the player a few days later so that it will work on the Mac platform? It's been a while since I've had a new iPod, so I don't know the current protocol with OS switches and iPods. If I have to reformat, then I'll just wait a couple more days until I've set up the new machine.

Thanks for helping a mac newbie! :)

EDIT: I placed this in the iPod forum, rather than iPT, since it seemed more of a general question rather than anything else. Mods, feel free to move this if you think it's in the wrong place......

You might as well wait since you are going to have to link it to the new library on your mac.
