Hello,

So I have a customized meditation audio file I listen to when I sleep. Can I load this file into Apple Watch, and listen to it regularly from the Apple Watch?

Yes.

Add that audio file to the Music app on your iPhone (there are various methods for doing this).
Once it's available in Music on your iPhone you can add to it your Watch based on the instructions in this support article (look for the section "How to sync music to your Apple Watch") https://support.apple.com/HT204691

The Add Music feature does not allow you to select individual "Songs" - if the audio file doesn't appear in Albums you may need to create a Playlist on your iPhone - you can then choose to sync that Playlist to the Watch.

The only way to make those files into Apple Watch is syncing those to your iPhone and let iPhone sync those files to watch. All of your files also need to be m4a format for iTunes/Catalina syncing to work.

If you only have the file in a phone app, it can be difficult to get it onto the watch.

If it's on the computer, though, you can record it using something like AudioHiJack Pro. Then give it a name, import it into iTunes, put it on a playlist, and sync it to the watch.

I'd recommend assigning a photo as album art to make it look nicer and be easier to find on the watch.

It's a hassle, but if you plan to listen to it a lot, worth the effort.

This is exactly my use case.

I use the iCatcher podcast app, which allows you to side-load audio files to the watch reliably and quickly, and without an annual fee.

Fantastic app.

See the discussion https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...le-watch.2223288/?post=28218273#post-28218273 ...it's written in terms of audiobook transfer but any .mp3 or .m4b file will transfer identically.

Thank you all.

It's such a hassle adding audio files to Apple Watch. I hope some good developer creates an app for it.

@sjinsjca That looks promising. I will check it out and come back to you.

it is a shame we can’t change the ringtone on the watch with an app like that or something similar.
