    Hi,
I have been trying to play a downloaded movie that is labeled TS XVID - STG. My Quicktime player says it tried to use an unsupported component. I have downloaded the latest Flip4Mac, Windows WMV player, VLC, and DIVX player. Nothing works. Is there a way to convert this movie to work?

    Thank you.

All you should need is the Perian plugin for Quicktime. If that doesn't work, the file is probably mislabeled.

If VLC doesn't play it, Quicktime won't play it...

In my experiences it is. I have had numerous files I tried to play with Quicktime and Perian that would not play, yet VLC played them fine. But maybe it was just coincidence. W/e

Yes, it must be a coincidence. I have the opposite experience.
