If I have a mac mini as a video player for my tv is it possible to play music also through another source at the same time? So, use the audio out on the mini for the video and attach an external usb audio component to play the music audio?

Often times I will want to watch a movie and my fiancee will want to listen to music in the other room, currently only one source can play.

you could use an airport express to do the music, just set the speakers in iTunes to the express only and not the computer.
(shows up as a drop down list at the bottom of the iTunes window when an express is detected.)

you can also play music out of the express and the computer at the same time. (synced up)
I also have a mini hooked to the tv and i get music out of the stereo, and 2 expresses (kitchen and bedroom)
