Playing flash in Qucktime

I checked the box to have quicktime play flash but every time I open a flash file it gives the error that it can't play the flash movie.

Have you installed Perian? If not, you might try that.

Well I need to have flash work so I can use it in iScreensaver.
And it keeps saying to set the flash in quicktime .. and I have .

QuickTime can't play flash files newer than version 5.

Well that would do it . lol thanks for pointing that out to me.
Guess I can change the out put to 5 so it will work.

Why use Quicktime for Flash anyway? Nowadays it's up to par with the Windows version.

Adobe makes a free standalone Flash player for Mac which seems to work far better than playing in Quicktime.
