i know where the hdmi cable goes, but where does the dvi cable hook into since my macbook doesn't have a slot for it? also, for a movie to be HD does the file HAVE to be a .ts file?

for the macbook, there is a miniDVI to DVI adapter and then plug your DVI TO HDMI cable.
files with the .ts extension are the ones you get from ripping a DVD, doesn't mean they are HD, it's just one type of files.
HD refers to the resolution, so any avi, mpeg, mov etc... can be HD too :D
