Playing podcasts in order?

iPhone is my first iPod... So sorry if this is obvious...

When i play podcasts on iPhone, it stops after playing each one, and i have to take it out of my pocket and start the next one.

Is there a way to make them play sequentially?

you could create a playlist in itunes and sync the playlist to the iphone?

How do podcasts play on iPods? Do they always stop after each one? is there an option or something?
