Playing quicktime videos in VLC

I have a movie that has the quicktime logo on the icon in finder. is there any way to watch it with VLC?

Right-click -> Open in... -> VLC

And if you always want to open Quicktime files with VLC, you can do this:

Right click [the file] -> Open with -> Other... -> Select "VLC" -> Check "Always open with" -> Open
