Playing SNES emulator on Mac?

Is there a smooth/easy way to play SNES games on the Mac? I did a google search but a lot of the ROM/emulator websites are quite outdated. Would love some help!
 
SNES9X works great on Snow Leopard. Haven't tried it on Lion. Latest update was in 2011. Old Macally iShock 2 controllers work too.
