playing Terminator 2 1080p in OS X

I have a new mac book pro 17" which is more then capable of playing 1080p videos (it played NIN trailer in 1080p perfectly). I have one dvd; terminator 2: extreme edition, which is in 1080p but will needs windows media player under windows to install software to play it..🙁... I suppose I could run it my virtual machine in xp, but this seems kind of circuitious, is there anyway to play it back in the full 1080p on OS X??
