I'm trying to find the best setup to play videos on my projector with my iPad, I've read a bit around here, especially Menneisyys2's awesome threads on various video apps.
So here is my current setup:
- My videos are stored on an external USB drive connected to my Macbook (2008 unibody model) with Plex Media Server installed.
- I use nPlayer on my iPad (Air 1 model) to Airplay the videos on an Apple TV (3rd generation).
- The Mac and iPad are connected to my router with WiFi, the ATV with a network cable.
I love this setup except that I get some lag sometimes, especially playing 720p videos. So I was wondering if I could improve this setup, preferably software-wise. Basically I'd like to keep the ability to use the iPad as a remote control...
