Playlist created on iPhone not syncing to computer via iTunes Match?

I have never created a playlist on my iPhone before. iTunes Match is working normally when going from the computer to the iPhone, but the playlist I created a week ago on the phone never showed up on the computer. Is this something that's supposed to work? Any tip on how to prompt it to sync and find that new playlist?
