In iOS Music, apple music playlists can be downloaded without issues. The full contents of the playlist also appear in settings/music/downloaded music. The playlist can be played without issues with the iOS device offline. So that process works without issues.
However within the music app the contents of the playlist are only visible from the playlist view. The contents will not appear in searches or views of albums, artists, or songs. This is a complete inconsistency, the content is downloaded and appropriately tagged, it should appear across music applications views.
The work around is to individually add each song from a given playlist into your library, which is a time killer and user experience nightmare!
Apple, please rework iOS music and fix the complexities and inconsistencies!
