How long until we can expect a PS4 Slim or a revised version? I was waiting for a price drop but maybe it would be better to wait for new hardware (quiter, especially)? Unless that is several years down the line...

It's already pretty slim (it's like half the size of my Xbox One), and it's quite quiet. I never notice it being on except for the bar of light on the top (or the side if you have it vertically).

In fact, it's so slim, it's quite annoying to have to stand up vertically without the stand because it can easily be topped over. My Xbox One stands up fine, though I think I read somewhere it was designed to used horizontally, so I set it up as that.

The Xbox one isn't suppose to be stood up though? And neither is the PS4 without the stand. Nothing annoying about it because you just need to buy the stand which is very good by the way.

It will be a while, they didn't slim the PS3 down for about 3 years, plus the current PS4 model is slim and compact anyway.

I'm not necessarily concerned about it being made “slimmer” than it already is. I just keep hearing/reading complaints about it being noisy…which is not what I want for a blu-ray player. My PS3 is and will continue be fine to use for movies. But once I’m done completing all of the PS3 games I have yet to finish/play, I would like to unhook it and rely on just the PS4 as a movie player. Fan noise would bother me. So, I would hope it is at least not louder than the PS3.

To be honest, i have used my ps4 to play movies in my home theater since it came out and i have not been bothered by the noise. I don't even notice the noise.

I've had it since launch. It's a great entertainment system - both in terms of gaming and otherwise. Well worth the money as it will hopefully serve me with some great fun times for the years to come.

I wish it had a better operating system or that Apple would just let the xbox and ps4 have iTunes on it.

They don't compete with these video game systems at all. 100-150 buck next gen Apple TV isn't trying to compete with a 400-500 mini game computer. I just hate to have to have both of these things.now that I have over 50 iTunes movies and Disney upgrade 12 of them to HD it's like dammit I need one now.

Here's something you might not know! You can plug a PS4 controller into a PS3 and it works for most games. It doesn't support rumble, motion or the home button, but for some games it's great because of the comfier layout, sticks and triggers!

It only works whilst connected via USB and doesn't support BT.

Doesn't work with GTAV though, booooo
