I just recently purchased a 2017 13" MacBook Pro w/TB. I was wondering if anyone used the Playstaion Remote Play function on a MacBook Pro. How does it run? I assume lag is only dependent on the internet connection you are on.

I don't plan on playing multiplayer online games. Mostly single player ones like Uncharted Series, Horizon Zero Dawn, Kingdom Hearts etc.

Thanks!

If you have a good local network connection (preferably ethernet or really good wifi), it's pretty good. The visuals will never be as fine and smooth as playing on your TV, but it's acceptable. The worse your connection is, the more it will look like a badly compressed YouTube video. For single player games, latency shouldn't be not much of an issue.

Runs smooth as butter without any latency on good router. Preferably one device should be on cable connection. PS4 streams HD quality while PS4 Pro streams FullHD resolution.
