What kind of editing that you want to do?
Most OEMs' default gallery app will be able to do basic edits like trimming, putting some effects, etc. Some OEM like Xiaomi has a more fancy camera app that allows you to do quick video-making via a preset template.
If you want a more fancy editing, you have to get a 3rd party app. My goto app nowadays is VLLO. Despite its appearance, it has quite powerful editing capabilities.
LumeFusion, arguably the best video editing tool on IOS or Android is coming to Android soon. IMO all of the available options currently on Android are total garbage.
Oh mine absolutely not sure. I make videos for our local community group and i use Actiondirect , Kinemaster and other video editing apps so Android is nothing short comparing to ios.
I disagree but happy you found something you like. Have tried them all, none do timing or have enough detailed control that I require.
Once Lume is on Android I will finally have a good caliber editing suite on Android for the first time in my life.
Depends on what you're looking for.
Sure, if you look a Final-Cut-like alternative on Android, the choice is sparse. That level of pro apps imo is not that feasible yet on Android due to fragmentation. Heck, look at how crappy most camera apps on Android because there's no standard on the camera API implementations by the various OEMs. And when Apple add that encoding engine into Ax chips, developers will prefer iOS even more.
But for amateur edits, there are apps like VLLO that is providing a lot of editing power for most users. That's why I asked the OP what kind of editing he/she is looking for.
