I ran a verify disk on my main hd and this log appeared:

    Code:
    Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
    Performing live verification.
    Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Checking multi-linked files.
    Checking Catalog hierarchy.
    Checking Extended Attributes file.
    Incorrect number of Extended Attributes
(It should be 8658 instead of 8659)
    Checking volume bitmap.
    Checking volume information.
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.
Can someone help me? Whats happening to my HD?

Restart from your installer DVD and run Disk Utility and "Repair Disk".

Chances are no. If you were just running verify disk to double-check everything. (If some big error caused you to run disk repair, then yes, something might be, its just hard to tell from what you've provided).

I couldn't hurt to backup your HD before you repair it, but you're likely ok.
