What do we need to do to receive the update? Do we need to cable our phone and upgrade software through iTunes or is it received over the air?

How do you know when you have it? How do you send an MMS with an iPhone?

I'm sure there are many users out there with the same question.

Thanks!

Once your iPhone is ready for MMS, you will see a little camera icon on the bottom left corner of your SMS screen, to the left of the input window. You click on the icon and then choose the file(s) to attach to your SMS. Sending an MMS will be no different than an SMS.

As for how and when to grab the updated carrier file, I'm just as clueless as you. My assumption is that it will be done through iTunes.

the unbelievable thing here is that you don't even HAVE to search. There's at least 5 threads on the front page alone which discuss MMS.

Actually, I did read through several threads which did not answer the specific questions I was asking. Most were talking about whether MMS was working yet and people who manually updated their carrier file.

The title "The giant "MMS is working in my area" thread" leads me to believe this is a thread, again, on whether MMS is working or not which was not my question.

Special thanks to daihard for posting useful information on a properly titled thread that will help others looking to have the same questions answered.

It's so funny how SO MANY people on these boards get mad when someone asks a question.

Telling people to search is equally as redundant as people making multiple topics about the same thing.

Never change.

Except for the fact they we don't feel the need to start a new thread to do it.
