Hello all....

Basically for the last hour or so the cursor has been moving by itself....

I have tried restarting the computer, shutting the computer down and the cursor was still going crazy afterwards.

I read that cleaning the trackpad has solved this problem before, and i did clean the trackpad with ssbome clearning wipes i have and it did reduce the problem, but the cursor still move slightly at random times without me doing anything.

Also i do have a mouse connected to my mac by usb.

Unplug the mouse. Does the cursor still move? If not, you have a faulty (or possibly dirty) mouse.

Check for static. Touchpads work by detecting changes in capacitance. Static can play havoc with a touchpad and send the cursor jumping about.
