I would really appreciate some help, please.

I've been using quicktime to trim video clips taken with my iphone. It was very easy. After using the yellow box to trim my selection, and hitting trim, I would then save the file with the original file name by, clicking on the little arrow pointing down, next to 'export as'

I would then locate the original file, and click on it and the new trimmed file would replace the original file. I would not have to retype the entire file name every time I trim and save a file.

Now, I am clicking on the original file, but it doesn't replace the name "untilted.mov" with the original file name. I tried googling this.. but I could not find anything.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks in advance!

Hey, the trick with overwriting is that you can drag the original file into the save dialog, then it will put the original file name and location in the dialog, then you can save and overwrite.
But this done with ⌘S, not with the title arrow.
