please help! itunes playlist window

please help me understand the latest itunes update.


i've selected a song from my album and dragged it so that the playlist window would appear. i placed it inside one of my playlists.


but now the friggin playlist window wont go away! i have to shut down and re-open itunes to get rid of it. i am sure it used to disappear on its own before.


surely the illuminated people at apple thought of another way of making it go away that i am just not seeing it.


this is itunes 11.1.1 running on OSX 10.8.5.

shall i assume:

1. no one has this issue?

2. everyone has this issue?

3. i posted it in the wrong section?

4. no one has a clue what i am talking about?



pleaaaase this is horrible functionality i might have to get another mp3 player...
