I'm in the airport and someone walks up to me asks to borrow phone to call his mom. It's early am and I'm not fullyawake obviously because I Agree. The kid proceeds to call walk away about 20 feet (pretty rude) and calls and returns 3 min later.

My questions are what risks do I face now?
What can I do to help myself?
The Bluetooth and wifi were turned off

I see him walk by an hour later with his own phone in hand

I agree that this person was rude, and their behavior questionable. I'm not sure what risks you face - other than germs from a stranger.

In the future I recommend this response: "I'll be glad to call anyone you like for you, but I can't lend you my phone."

Reply

"No. Because you won't pay for it if you drop it"

They'll usually say "I won't drop it"

You reply "Thats not what I said"

Conversation over.

You're lucky. In 99 other instances, he'd have run with the phone, or handed it to someone else and blocked you from following.
