I've been trying to figure this out for 8 days! And I still haven't been able to get online.:(

It just says 'Remote PPP Error'

It has a blue signal on the 'dongle' so it has a signal. It just doesn't connect.
I'm sure the setting are correct but I don't know for sure.

I'm running OS X 10.5.8
The network is 'Three'

Can anyone help please?

"You have to make sure you have all the settings correct.

For me on T-Mobile PAYG in the UK it's:

Dial: *99#
Account name: t-mobile
Password: tm

If it's PAYG you also need to make sure you have credit too, of course."

"In System Preferences -> Network -> HUAWEI Mobile:
Configuration: Default
Telephone Number: *99#
Account Name: <leave blank>
Password: <leave blank>

Click on the 'Advanced Button', then on the Modem tab:

Vendor: Generic
Model: GPRS (GSM/3G)
APN: 3netaccess
CID: 1

The other advanced settings leave as they are."

Hope this helps.

In New Zealand, same modem different supplier.
Uninstall the software using the option in the install dmg > Empty trash > Restart > Reinstall.
Or use the separate uninstall option if there is one.
