I'm struggling to come to a decision between 3 different models (also open to opinions of other cases)
I'm pretty set on a leather case, but I'm having trouble deciding between a folio wallet style and a regular.
The three I've narrowed it down to is:

Apple's iPhone X Leather Case:-

Nomad Horween Rugged Leather Case:-
https://www.hellonomad.com/rugged-leather-case-ix

Burkley Magnetic Detachable Leather Wallet Case:-

Price isn't really a factor, but I aint about to buy one of each to find out which one I prefer most.
I didn't include Apple's Folio Case because the movement of the front cover really bugs me considering how much it costs.
I like the looks of the Apple leather case and the buttons, but my concern is its durability and ability to protect the phone from falls.
Nomad seems to be better able to handle a fall, but from what I read the buttons aren't clicky or as tactile.
The Burkley has the same issues with the buttons but I've heard even more stiff out-of-box; but what loses out there it makes up for being detachable, so if I don't feel like using a folio case I can use it as a standard case. The magnetic clip on this case also is a pro for me as the front cover will stay closed during a fall or whatnot.
The Burkley looks to be more durable than the Apple case as well.

I'm leaning towards the Burkley but I'd like to know your thoughts.

In that same price range is the Mous limitless case in black leather. I have it on my X now. By far the best case I have used.

My wife has the Burkley leather. I think it’s awesome and the leather is just as nice as the apple cases. The bumper around the phone isn’t leather like the Apple case though keep that in mind. The benefit is that is goes all the way around the phone

I have the Nomad, the buttons actually seem fine to me - I'd read that they were somewhat "mushy", but I haven't found that to be the case. I used to have the Apple leather case for my 6+ and it wore out fairly quickly, though it was definitely sleeker in general.

My wife has an Apple silicone case, which ultimately I think I prefer - but since I just got this Nomad case, I don't think I can justify getting another one quite yet!

I like the case, but don't like the colour. I prefer tan, burnished if possible. The build quality seems great on it though... It's a pity it only comes in black leather. If I can get past the colour it seems like a worthy contender.

Apple Leather is what I have. Love it
Have you dropped it yet? I'd love to know how it handles drops because it doesn't seem to be as forgiving as other options.

I think I prefer the rubber bumper, not for looks but for shock absorption.

The silicone case are far too high priced in Australia at $60 when the leather are only $75. I also don't like how it seems to collect crap all over it. I've heard a lot of build differences with the Nomad; I read one review stating the cut-out for the camera was off by a mm or two.

Although leather cases from Apple look nice at first, they tend to degrade pretty quickly. The "patina" effect is too pronounced that the original color becomes way too dark.

Ah that's interesting - in looking at mine I don't notice anything like that, build quality is pretty good... but that's only my experience, and I got it open box from Best Buy in the US as well - so it was like 30% off retail.

As for the silicone, I had one for my 6S+ for at least 18 months and can't say that I experienced crap collection too much, fortunately, I don't think my wife's 6S+ did either - nor the X so far anyway (though it's early). As for the price - I think there's a pretty small gap in the US as well, though I'm not certain. One thing I was annoyed with is how sticky the silicone case is for going in and out of pockets (perhaps that aids in the crap collection, but for me it was just pulling the pocket out with the phone) - where the leather did not do that.

Can you share how thick the mous case is? Im looking for a case that is thinner than the iPhone leather but most cases I see are either:
1. Too bulky
2. Scratches the phone due to lack of microfiber in the interior

no matter what, you will probably own all of those at one point or another.

I'm forever sticking with Apple cases now, ive used them soley on my 6s and X now, and wont change that. might go for a bright silicon for summer time, but right now my house has

cosmos blue
black
saddle brown

regarding 1 &2, I see no issues. It is similar in size to the Nomad you referenced.

I guess what it comes down to is whether or not I would benefit from a folio wallet case or if the standard is good enough.
I rarely wear pants with pockets and carry around a backpack with me whenever I go out, so having my wallet plus other stuff in there is no problem.

What would be some benefits of a folio wallet that I may be overlooking? All I can think of is a slight convenience having multiple cards and cash right next to my phone, but the only time that would really make a difference is say if I'm away from my wallet or on the bed and I want to order something online with my debit card... it would be right there.

It looks like there is good support for the Apple leather case but I'm still curious about the protection if dropped on the pavement for example.
