The App Store on my iPad Pro 9.7 on iOS 9.3.4 started to fail. Random 'Your request produced an error. [NewNullResponse] messages appear everywhere. First, on Featured on certain tabs. I tried everything. Restarted the iPad, logged in and out of the App Store, until I decided to reset all settings.
There the bug went away from featured, but now the Top Charts tab on its entirety won't open and displays the same error. I saw one thread here like three years ago with the same topic that went unanswered. As per other places, I have tried everything they suggested. I don't know what else to do. The Apple help page is useless. What can I do?

Just finished talking with Apple Support and they basically told me update or nothing. I'm on iOS 9.3.4 and I refuse to update because I have had a lot of issues on several devices before when I updated. Literally the second I finished talking with Apple Support the bug went away and it now works as intended without any interaction on my part, though I have no guarantee that it won't resurface again.
Edit: Bug resurfaced with multiple devices on different iOS versions. Wi-Fi problem? They are all connected to the same network so I think it is a problem of my Wi-Fi. What can it be?

Excellent, a lead! Unfortunately, I know little about routers, etc. I suggest the following resources as starting points. Or, if your router is old, get a new one. Edit: Or, restart your router. Do this before trashing it. :p

You could take a device to work, connect it to your WiFi there and see if the problem is there or goes away.

Or at home, turn your router off for ten seconds and start it again.

The App Store is actually powered by web technologies - I can't confirm it but I suspect some HTML rendering is involved.

Your internet connection may indeed be involved.... try tethering or using a different wifi network for an extended period to see if the problem recurs

Thanks everyone. The bug went away for now though I tried with LTE when I travelled (in my area there are no internet antennas, just phone signal.) and it seemed to work. Just tried the Store again and for now it works. The router is new, we changed it a couple of months ago, and I don't know how to change the router settings and as I don't know how it works I wouldn't like to mess with that. I hope it is just one of those random bugs that as weirdly as they appear they simply go away. There are no other providers of Wi-Fi than the one I have but if the bug resurfaces I can ask the provider to see if he can help me. Thanks everyone again.
