Please help my after software update

I need help... I intalled the update and now my airport doesn't work. only ethernet

Fixed it. It was visable.. but even though i selected turn airport on, nothing would happen it would search it's like OFF.

So i called applecare right now, and the told me to:

unplug everything... take battery out..... hold the power button for 6 seconds... then release the power button.

But the battery back in (i have macbook pro) and plug in the power. Then turn on immidiately after powering on, press and hold option + command + P + R untill i hear the second chime. Well that happend then i let go.

Now everything WORKS!!!!!!!
