Can anyone please help me identify which model of superdrive comes with the 15" Core i7 Macbook Pro
Model: MC721LL/A

I need to replace the OEM drive (it has to be original) and I can't seem to find the right one. I've already purchased 2 and they are both different. Please help.

Thanks

That model would 'spec to be' an i& 2.0 GHz.. I have a mid-2011 i7 2.2 GHz (if the same), but have replaced my SuperDrive w/ HD in that position when I put a SSD in it.. I do have the drive at home, so I could connect and get specs in a day or two for you, if no one gets you info sooner..

** I am sort of thinking it is a Hitachi from memory, but cannot say for absolute as of now!! :apple::apple:

No need to connect it.. if you can just look on the drive and give me the model information, that would be perfect. It should be on a giant orange sticker.

Will Do.. I am away from it until after Christmas, but will do after I return and get near it!!
