Please help, not sure which adapter to purchase

My friend's old 17" ACD isn't working anymore, so he's thinking of buying a PC monitor for his PowerMac G5. But the problem is, we don't know what adapter it needs.

Would we need a DVI to VGA adapter for this monitor?

Digging into the site, enlarging the picture gives it the designation HP W1707. Amazon says that it has both DVI-D and VGA ports. I do not think an adapter is required. However, I do admit, the picture was blurry, so might as well pick up one just in case.

For simplicity, yes, it does. You can look at the graphic card's specifications for more information in the matter, but it should.
