Hi please help me. I've got this really annoying issue, more annoying than most since my internet connection and speed are very low.

Every time I do the 2 finger backwards and forwards swipe the pages inside Safari reload.

This has totally slowed me down as I'm constantly waiting and waiting for pages to reload I can't get anything done. :(:(:(

Can some angel please help me out?

    Thanks so much,
    Lucy

That is why my primary browser is Chrome, with Firefox for some tasks. I rarely load Safari for the exact reason you describe, I can't stand the refresh every time I go "back".

I've noticed the same behavior; very irritating. What ever happened to SnapBack?

The solution is to use Chrome or a different browser. There's no way to disable this behavior in Safari.

Is this only happening with Macbook Pro's or is it across the whole Apple product line? Frankly its disgraceful. The browser is the most important application for most folk, you would imagine they would at least get the browser spot on?

I have submitted my dissatisfaction to Apple. I suggest you do the same. I can only hope that if enough people complain about it, Apple will do something about it.

You can submit your feedback here:

Upgrade your internet connection or use a different browser. Safari does it on my 2010 MBP too.

Simple solution: use the three finger swipe instead. Pages should never have to reload when you use that gesture.

Does anyone know of any extensions that would fix this? Agreed that it's rather annoying. First World Problems.

It's a "feature", not a bug. Either you deal with it or you use something else.

Nobody, not even Apple, forces you to use Safari on their expensive machine, you can, after all, install safari for windows on a $150 netbook, and you'll get the very same behaviour.

Wow. Just wow. Selling a computer when switching to Firefox or Chrome would've fixed the "issue".

    First world problems.
