I am a totally newbie on programing. I have no knowledge or what so ever on programing. However I am very into technology in terms of playing with the latest gadget. I consider myself a quick learner specially on technology related products.

I recently graduated college with a business degree. now working at a 9-6 job. So i have some time to actually learn programming. I hope that is something i can learn on my own by reading.

My ultimate goal is to create an iOS app. not for making money or anything, just something i like to learn on my free time. but thats something far away to talk about given that i have no knowledge on any programing.

Well, if any of you are kind enough, please recommend a book or any online resource thats good for me to get start with. I understand in order to learn program with iOS, I need to know C and objective-c. I have did some search online for books that teach C, but there are so many of them. so i find that maybe helpful to get some advice here.

I am willing to learn, so please recommend anything you think is helpful. I want to make this a habit on side. so please help.

If you look in the iBook store there are 6 free books Apple offers to people who want to learn about developing. I believe that would be a good start.

    Welcome aboard, triplefoxxx.

One of the skills you should develop as a programmer is learning to find pre-existing information to help you in your quest, whether they be documentation, books, online resources, etc. Since this question has come up quite frequently in the past few days, I'm going to link you to some pre-existing threads on the topic:
    (to name but a few)

Also, be sure to check the Guides and Stickies at the top of this very forum.

    Hope that helps. :)
