I’ve got to make a decision in just a few hours however I’m still undecided on size and color!!!

Pro or Pro Max?
Silver or Midnight Green?

My Watch Series 5 is in silver, do you think it goes well with the Midnight Green?

We can't decide for you.
For some people the size of the Pro is perfect, for others, it's the Pro Max that is just right.
Although the Green color looks nice, if you value color matching, get the Silver model.

What size is your current phone? What colour and model is it?
Ask yourself if you are happy with the size and go from there.
As for colour, they all look good to me. Silver is a known look, I think that you would have seen it around and it sounds like you like it. On the other hand, green is a bit of an unknown look, meaning that you are unlikely to have seen it in person just yet. It’s also possible that green could sell out fast as it’s the new colour and that usually proves to be the popular choice. So up to you if you want to go with the known colour or live a little on the edge and get the unknown, but potentially highly sought after colour. All speculation of course, I’m sitting back and just watching this year as I’m still happy with my XS Max in gold. I’m not normally a gold colour Apple purchaser, but it’s a pretty phone. If I was buying this year, I’d be tempted by the green.

Is the colour really a big deal to you. That isn’t meant to be patronising as colour matters to me. But so many people put their phones in cases that completely mask the colour anyways.

It basically comes down to the stainless steel band as that’s the part you’re going to see the most. If you want timeless, classic, more scratch prone (but easy to buff out), go silver.

In terms of the Pro vs Pro Max - they have total feature parity so it comes down to size. Both have advantages and both have trade offs and since you’re clearly not firmly rooted in either camp, you just need to work out which one is a better balance for you.

For what’s it’s worth, I went from Plus size to XS last year and the more comfortable form-factor, I’ve found, isn’t enough of an advantage for me to offset the loss of screen space. So I’m going for the Max.

You have a no-question 14 day return period.

Plus, you should have been to a store by now and tried out an XS Max to check pocketability by now.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you want to go one handed or two handed? I think that’s the biggest deciding factor.

Why do you need to “match” your phone and your watch? You’re not wearing the phone. How often are you just staring at them side-by-side?

I had the XS Max. Frankly, I’m tired of the larger form factor so I’m going with the Pro (non-max) this year.

One thing has got me confused though—the Pro screen is smaller than the 11??

Thank you everyone. Ended up getting the Pro Max in midnight green because it’s the new color and it’s selling like hot cakes apparently going by the slipping delivery dates.

Yes. Same as with the XS vs the XR.

Same here! XS Max is nice but after using it for a year I got tired of the size and bulk. Going small this time around.

Same...Originally had XS Max, screen size was nice but found overall pocketability and hand feel was better on the smaller 5.8, ditched the max got the regular XS, now selling that and ordering the regular pro. Can't go back to big.

Truth be told I find the 6.1 size of the Xr/11 the sweet spot, but not willing to give up the cameras etc.

For sure there are benefits to max size, its personal preference.

Cheers
