So, about a year and a half ago, i got a free, slightly damaged mac book pro. My sister had dropped it, denting the casing, and making it impossible to play discs (i have external optical).

Today, i was watching a movie on vlc, and my mac froze, so i held down the power button and it launched into the multi language kernel panic (you need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the restart button). And every time i restart, it would go back to this. After trying a number of different things, i took out the battery, plugged it in and restarted, and it turned back on. After using it, i closed it (sleep mode) and when i opened it back up - black screen, and when i restarted, kernel panic. This time taking out the battery isn't working either. Please help, i really need my computer.

I have not installed any ram, or done anything at all to change my computer.
